Members paid by bank transfer and were given access by hand, so renewals were missed and content was shared freely.
Companies also wanted to buy one plan for several employees, with an admin who could add or remove people — which needed roles and permissions beyond WordPress defaults.
WooCommerce Subscriptions runs the Starter, Pro and Team plans with automatic renewals. JetEngine powers the content library, and access is checked against the member’s active plan.
Custom roles (Team admin, Editor, Member) control who can invite users, see invoices or edit content, and a custom dashboard shows each member their plan, progress and team.
